The next LMP will be organized in May 2024 by Czech Technical University in Prague. The conference will be held in Prague, Czech Republic.

The 15th International Conference on Local Mechanical Properties LMP2022 was held at the Institute of Materials Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Košice on May 11-13, 2022. It involved 43 participants from 6 countries, including Slovakia and Czech Republic as well as from France, Austria, Hungary and Germany. The scientific program included 4 invited speakers (E. Le Bourhis (FR), B. Rezek (CZ), Z. Kovacs (HU), T. Csanadi (SK)), 2 keynote lectures (M. Meindlhumer (AU) and J. Dusza (SK)), 17 regular presentations, two company presentations and the Best poster competition among 15 posters at the conference. The presented works were focused on the latest results of research activities in the micro-scale characterization of mechanical properties of the materials ranging from ultrahigh temperature ceramics up to polymers and biomaterials. The winners of the Best Poster Award were:

3. Hana Chmelíčková

The social program involved get-together party, guided, excursion on the most famous historical sites in Kosice center and a social evening with the bowling tournament. The support from our sponsor companies including general sponsor Measurement Technique - Moravia (MT-M), Zeiss Slovakia and Slovak Metal Science Society which was essential for the organization of all social events, is acknowledged and highly appreciated.

The works presented at LMP2022 will be published after successful review in the Scopus indexed journal Powder Metallurgy Progress. All the participants are strongly encouraged to submit the manuscripts (see Full paper submission Tab) for the review as soon as possible.

We are looking to meeting all together at the new LMP meeting. The exact location and date of the 16th LMP conference will be announced later.
